About Me:

Hi there, I’m Kyle. I'm originally from Riverside, but after meeting my husband of three years back in 2012, I've claimed my new home in Redlands, CA. I am a big video game fan, and lover of almost anything sci-fi or fantasy. In my free time, I can be found reading a book, studying Javascript practices, sifting through Reddit, crocheting, or putting some time into my backyard garden.

Most of my life –like many millennials– I’ve been attached to a computer or electronic device. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized the exact reason why I love computers and technology so much: where there’s a will, there’s a way. In younger years, I’d use this theme to get my hands on video games with emulators, “free” music on Napster, and organization software to replace all of my school notebooks, while I customized my Myspace page so it is the perfect level of cringe.

Within the Myer-Briggs personality system, I classify as an I.N.T.P., which is the type that is considered "The Logician." Within Gallup's Strengthsfinder system, my top strengths are "ideation", "intellection", "futuristic", "relator", and "command." I am no exception to the description of the type that emphasizes abstract, conceptual thinking. Working at Starbucks for eight years has shown me my intrinsic love for organizing workflows and extrapolating relevant data. At Starbucks, I'd be the anchor people rely on, and the biggest contributor of goal optimizations.

My all-time dream is to be able to become the "go-to guy" for web development inquiries. I also want to be able connect with my local community by helping smaller businesses build their reputation through their internet persence. My history at Starbucks has enabled me to build many soft skills, but customer experience is a particular skillset that will make me competitive in my particular field as a web developer.

At my core, I am a complete geek that can become completely engulfed in fantastical worlds of video games, novels, and television shows. Specifically, what exhilirates me is a hobby that is called “world-building”. My secondary all-time dream is to be able to create a world of my own as a video game, and have anyone appreciate it.

Works and Projects:

Some of these are my current works-in-progress, the later ones in the list are old projects meant as personal lessons and practices in design. Feel more-than-free to check out my CSS framework named Forten on Github and submit a pull request.
